College of St. Artemas
College Meeting
April 6 2009
Our first meeting of Spring Quarter and we discussed some plans for Spring Quarter and set some dates for events.

We first discussed some workshops for the coming quarter.
Workshops:
  1. Sword Making soon, date to be announced based on the availability of the Unarmored community. Dates discussed will be within the next 3 weeks. We will be making swords to accommodate the growing numbers at practice. For those who wish to make their own personal sword, a $15 materials fee will cover its construction.
  2. Calligraphy: We will be having a second Calligraphy workshop next Thursday, April 16th. 7-9PM In the Revelle College room of Price Center. Supplies will be provided!
  3. Silk Banner Workshop: By popular request, we are planning a Silk Banner workshop for May 17th, weather permitting. Since this takes a while, and must be done outside, the workshop is planned for a Sunday.
  4. The fourth and fifth workshops discussed were Heraldry and Dancing, perhaps for weeks 6-9. Both would need to coincide with enhanced recruitment, and activities which bolster our on-campus presence. Inquiries will be made as to the availability of instructors for these, and for Ballroom space for the dancing.
